Let There Be Light
Don't be left in the dark on ways to reduce the electricity in your home. There are several ways to help reduce energy consumption without keeping you in the dark. The type of bulbs you use and the intensity of your lights affect how much electricity you use. In the Temperance home all lights are six and nine watt LED bulbs which use less energy than standard bulbs and do not generate heat. Centennial electricians also installed dimmer switches for the pot lighting, stair lighting, wall lighting, and ceiling lighting allowing the homeowners to create the ambiance they desire while saving energy and electricity. These are just a few ways to reduce energy and save on your electrical bill. So next time you come home feel good about flicking the switch and let there be light!

Window Treatment
The finishing touches of a home are what complete the overall design concept and feel of the space. From cabinetry hardware to window trim, it's the details that bring it all together. In the Temperance home the windows underwent a design upgrade from regular PVC trim to custom frames by Loewen. These window frames are metal on the exterior and ash wood on the interior with a custom stain to match the cabinetry. This design delivers aesthetic beauty while maintaining the highest performance.

Design Details
Cabinetry hardware is an element in a renovation or new build that is often overlooked by many homeowners. It seems like a small detail, but the fact is your cabinetry hardware is a major design component in your home and has the ability to bring an entire design concept together in a room. People often struggle to find quality cabinetry hardware that is unique and fits the design of their space. In this custom home, the homeowners chose to accessorize their cabinets with hardware from German based company Hettich. Not only will the homeowners avoid having to open their cabinets with a butter knife, but the cabinetry hardware also serves a dual purpose of tying the room's design concept together. Take a sneak peak at some of the varying hardware styles used in this custom home.
